DESCRIPTION: State attorneys general are the states' chief legal officers, and are sworn to uphold the U.S. and state constitutions, and to enforce federal and state laws. The heart of a state attorney general's mission is to serve the public interest. Join ACS for a discussion about the variety of summer and post-graduate career opportunities in state attorney general offices (state AGOs), and how they can align with progressive values. We will hear from attorneys who work in various roles in different state AG offices about their backgrounds, career paths, and what it is like to work for their state's highest legal officer. The panelists will also discuss how to go about finding a summer, semester, or post-graduate position in a state AGO, how to build strong applications, and how law students can make the most of their time clerking in a state AGO.\n\nFeaturing:\n\nJ. Tate Ball, Assistant Attorney General, Consumer Protection Division, Office of the Attorney General for the State of Tennessee\nChristine Jones Brady, Second Assistant Attorney General, Nevada Attorney General's Office\nKaren B.
