DESCRIPTION: The call will feature Savannah Kumar, University of Texas School of Law ACS President; and Elissa Steglich, Clinical Professor, University of Texas School of Law. During the call, we will discuss the “Remain in Mexico”(MPP) program, which requires asylum seekers to wait in Mexico for months while their cases are being processed, exposing them to severe violence, kidnapping, health consequences and other dangers. We will discuss how students can work on this issue and provide tips on how ACS chapters can respond to this issue in their communities. \n\nDial-in information will be emailed to those who RSVP.\n\n\nAs the nation’s leading progressive legal organization, ACS is committed to ensuring that all aspects of our events are accessible and enjoyable for all. If you require any accommodations, please contact us either at LCemails@acslaw.org.\n\n\nFor details, click here: https://getinvolved.acslaw.org/component/events/event/462
