DESCRIPTION: The ACS Washington, DC Lawyer Chapter has limited spots available for a special pro bono opportunity to attend the DC Bar’s Advice and Referral Clinic on Saturday, November 9, 2019. Space is limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. After all spots are filled, you will have the option to register on a waitlist. \n\nThe clinic is one of few opportunities to provide meaningful legal services directly to those who need it, and to reach a meaningful resolution for an indigent client within one volunteering session. The DC Bar makes it possible for attendees to either resolve a walk-in client’s needs on site during a 2-3 hour session (the “advice” component), or for a more complicated case, to connect the client to an established attorney designated to take on such cases (the “referral” component).\n\nMore details are available here.
