DESCRIPTION: If you would like to register for this event, please email Meghan Paulas, Senior Director of Chapters, at mpaulas@acslaw.org.\n \n\n\nJoin us for the 2019 ACS Midwest Regional Convening, September 5-6 in Milwaukee, hosted by the ACS Milwaukee Lawyer Chapter and the ACS Marquette University Law School Student Chapter!\n \n \n\n\nThe convening will begin on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 5:30 p.m., with Criminal Injustice: A Conversation with Exonerated Attorney Jarrett Adams.\n\n\nJarrett Adams, Exonerated Attorney\n\nA panel discussion on criminal justice reform in Wisconsin will follow, featuring: \n\n\nJarrett Adams, Exonerated Attorney\nHon. Colleen Nordin, Door County District Attorney\nCraig Mastantuono, Partner, Mastantuono & Coffee S.C.; Chair, ACS Milwaukee Lawyer Chapter\n\nMelinda Swartz, Appellate Attorney, Law Office of Melinda Swartz\n\n\nYou will have a sneak peek opportunity to tour America's Black Holocaust Museum after the official program concludes. The program will end by 7:20 p.m. \n\nThis event is co-sponsored by the Milwaukee National Lawyers Guild, the Milwaukee School of Engineering's University Scholars Honors Program, the Milwaukee Turners' Confronting Mass Incarceration Committee, and the Wisconsin Justice Initiative.\n\n\nOn Friday, September 6, the program will continue with breakfast, a discussion on careers in policy co-sponsored by the Marquette Law Public Interest Law Society, lunch, and a panel discussion on ballot access, redistricting, and election integrity in 2020.
