In sharing the stories of 12 former patients of Bellevue Hospital, Manheimer illustrates the larger societal issues at the intersection of health, culture, policy, and law. Manheimer also co-produces&nbsp;New Amsterdam, the hit NBC drama based on Twelve Patients.\n\nThis event will also serve as the launch of the Chapter's book club, with Twelve Patients as the first read.
