You have been invited to register for the inaugural Leaders from Law Workshop with Georgetown University Law Professor Heidi Li Feldman.\n\nThe workshop will run the evening of Friday, October 13 and all day Saturday, October 14 at Temple University Beasley School of Law. \n\nACS membership is required to participate. To become an ACS member, you can join here.\n\nThe registration fee is $25 for students and $50 for lawyers. To complete your registration, please select and pay the appropriate registration fee above by October 10, 2023. Please note that the registration fee is nonrefundable and space is limited, so please be sure you are able to attend the full 1.5 day workshop.\n\nGeneral Overview:\n\nThe Leaders from Law workshop is geared toward progressive law students and recent law graduates (2018–present) who want to operationalize their interest in running for elected office and will explore four main themes:\n\n• Organization: How to organize yourself to run for office, especially offices where your legal skills and talents can make a difference.\n\n• Compliance: How to make sure you are you are in compliance with relevant election law.\n\n• Network Building: How to build connections and background useful to a candidacy.\n\n• Balance: How to balance building a legal career while aiming to run for office.\n\nThe session will be interactive, and may involve light reading in advance.
