This month we will be discussing the Oregon Supreme Court's decision from December 2022 in Watkins v. Ackley, 370 Or 604 (2022). This decision retroactively applied the US Supreme Court's decision in Ramos v. Louisiana, invalidating hundreds of felony convictions obtained under a 1934 law designed to exclude people of color from meaningful participation in the justice system.
