Event Details
To build inclusive and equitable communities, we are challenged to approach each and every issue using an inclusive, race-conscious, and intersectional lens. This requires us to check our own biases and preconceived assumptions when confronted with new information, critically engage with the framing of an issue presented, and learn how to frame and reframe issues in an empathetic, holistic, and humanizing way. During this Roundtable Discussion, Professor Michele Goodwin will discuss how she applies an inclusive and equity-focused lens in all the work that she does. She’ll also provide ACS Student and Lawyer Chapter Leaders with tips on how to utilize this approach in all the work that they do, including in their legal work, at their law schools, in the community, and in leading their ACS Chapters.
Featuring:
Michele Goodwin, Chancellor's Professor of Law and Director of the Center for Biotechnology and Global Health Policy, University of California Irvine School of Law
