Please join the ACS New York Lawyer Chapter for a discussion of two important cases on the Second Amendment that Supreme Court is hearing, which is unprecedented in the modern era. These cases are positioned to have a substantial impact on Constitutional law and public safety issues in the years ahead. The first case, Wolford v. Lopez, is a challenge to a Hawaiʻi law providing that firearms cannot be carried onto private property held open to the public unless the property owner has given permission. The second, Hemani v. United States, concerns the federal law prohibiting firearm possession by users of unlawful substances.
