Event Details

Join us for a meaningful evening of community, creativity, and impact at the International Institute of Minnesota (IIMN)! At 6:00 p.m., we'll kick off with a short tour and overview of IIMN's vital work supporting New Americans. At 6:30, we will have a hands-on volunteer session to assemble welcome kits for immigrant and refugee students.

We'll be assembling Welcome Kits filled with essential items to help newcomers feel supported and prepared as they begin their journey in Minnesota. All supplies will be provided through donations from our volunteers and community partners. The suggested donation amount to cover the cost of the welcome kit is $40 per person. A link to donate to ACS is here. Your donation will help ACS support its work, including the work of our chapters and their programs, including this program. We appreciate any donation that you can provide.

Who Should Attend:

Everyone is welcome--no need to be an ACS member! Whether you're new to this work or deeply involved in immigrant advocacy, this is a great opportunity to contribute directly and learn more about the challenges and strengths of Minnesota's immigrant communities.

What to Bring:

Just yourself and your energy--we'll provide the materials and instructions!

This event, co-sponsored by the Southwest Alliance for Equity, is part of the "Inalienable" immigration-focused event series hosted by the American Constitution Society and community partners, spotlighting the dignity and rights of immigrant communities through direct service, education, and advocacy.
