In its most recent term, the US Supreme Court decided yet another major second amendment case, US v. Rahimi, which held that an individual may be disarmed under a domestic violence restraining order, consistent with the second amendment. This case followed other major second amendment cases, DC v. Heller (2008), McDonald v. Chicago (2010) and NY State Rifle & Pistol Assoc. v. Bruen (2022). Constitutional scholar, best-selling author and nationally recognized second amendment expert Professor Adam Winkler will discuss the Court's reasoning and what it means for gun regulation efforts.

Featuring:

Adam Winkler, Connell Professor of Law, UCLA School of Law; Author, We the Corporations: How American Businesses Won Their Civil Rights (2018) and Gunfight: The Battle over the Right to Bear Arms in America (2011)

Moderator:

Evan Goldman, Judicial Extern, United States District Court for the Southern District of California
