Please join the ACS Austin Lawyer Chapter for "Congress' Powers Over the Supreme Court and How It Can Use Those Powers to Hold the Court More Accountable," presented by Prof. Stephen Vladeck, the Charles Alan Wright Chair in Federal Courts at the University of Texas School of Law.

Prof. Vladeck will discuss the Legislative Branch’s powers over the Supreme Court under our constitution and how the Legislative Branch can use those powers to hold the Court more accountable. What are Congress’ powers over the Supreme Court? What are the limits of those powers? How are those powers to be enforced? What if there is a disagreement between Congress and the Court: who is to decide, and how is such a decision to be enforced?
