Judge Kamila Noori was a respected jurist in Afghanistan before the Taliban returned to power. As a woman who sent extremists to jail, she and her family were hunted by the Taliban after Kabul fell in 2021. She now resides as a refugee in Arlington, Virginia, and works at a local courthouse.
