Join us for a panel discussion on LGBTQ+ rights in the era of Don't Say Gay and anti-trans legislation. NYLS' own Professor Art Leonard will be joined by Charlie Arrowood '13 (they/them, Richard C. Failla LGBTQ Commission) and Carrie McNamara (she/her, ACLU-FL) to discuss the recent onslaught of bills prohibiting gender affirming care for minors and adults alike, erasure of LGBTQ identities in schools, and implications on other matters of LGBTQ+ rights such as drag bans. These professionals have consistently fought to protect and expand rights for the LGBTQ+ community and bring a wealth of knowledge on the subject.
