The program will be moderated by ACS Bay Area Lawyer Chapter Leader, Kelsey Helland. This will be the first year our gala focuses exclusively on climate topics. Yana Garcia is California's Secretary for Environmental Protection. Jody Freeman is the Archibald Cox Professor of Law at Harvard Law School, a leading scholar of administrative law and environmental law, and a former climate adviser to President Obama.

We will also be presenting Elaine Meckenstock (Deputy Attorney General, Natural Resources Law Section, California Department of Justice) and Sanjay Narayan (Managing Attorney of the Sierra Club's Environmental Law Program) with ACS Fearless Advocate Awards for their decades’ long work fighting to protect the environment and defend state and federal policies addressing climate change.
