This proposed legislation aims to, among other things, ban individuals from specific countries from purchasing or acquiring real property in Texas. Our esteemed panelists will discuss the Federal and State constitutionality of the proposed bill, its mirroring of bigoted Alien Land Laws that banned Asian immigrants from owning property and establishing businesses, and the overall policy implications of this bill on our immigrant communities.
