Please join the ACS Oregon and Washington State Lawyer Chapters for their monthly discussion group with other local progressive lawyers about cases of regional or national significance. This month we will be discussing the Washington Supreme Court's recent decision in Washington State Council of County & City Employees v. City of Spokane. This decision is important both in its articulation of state-local preemption and in its rejection of the city's attempt to upend the collective bargaining process with its employee unions.
