Event Details

Join us and the Marquette University Law School ACS Student Chapter for a conversation on judicial diversity. In 2018, the Gavel Gap report gave Wisconsin an “F” grade for diversity on the state court bench. Since that time, Governor Evers has made it a priority to select qualified and diverse candidates for state court vacancies. Join us on Wednesday, March 23 in Room 263 at Eckstein Hall, Marquette University Law School (1215 W Michigan St. Milwaukee, WI, 53233), from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM to learn about the progress made, why it matters, and hear from some of the newly appointed judges about their paths to the bench. Reception to follow.

Featuring:
Hon. Milton Childs, Milwaukee County Circuit Judge, Branch 2, State of Wisconsin
Hon. Jack Dávila, Milwaukee County Circuit Judge, Branch 1, State of Wisconsin
Hon. Brittany Grayson, Milwaukee County Circuit Judge, Branch 16, State of Wisconsin

Moderated by:
Craig Mastantuono, Partner, Mastantuono & Coffee; Member, Governor Evers's Judicial Selection Advisory Committee; Chair, ACS Milwaukee Lawyer Chapter

We are grateful to the Wisconsin Civil Justice Education Foundation for its support of events like this in Wisconsin and at law schools across the country.
