Naomi is a University of Denver, Sturm College of Law graduate who focused on civil rights law. She is currently a judicial clerk at the Minnesota Court of Appeals. She will be clerking at the United States District Court, District of Minnesota for the 2021-2022 term.

While in law school, Naomi valued the opportunities she had to gain practical experience. Naomi externed with a civil rights and employment firm and worked on complex federal cases including excessive force and free speech cases. She spent time with a criminal defense firm and served clients with severe mental illness as they navigated the criminal punishment system. Naomi also worked with Colorado's federal protection and advocacy organization as it oversaw the care provided to individuals at the state forensic hospital. She spent a summer as a student attorney supporting low-income clients' who faced eviction and collaborated with a local community organization to build power in those most impacted by gentrification. Naomi ended her law school experiential journey as a judicial extern at the Colorado Supreme Court.

Prior to law school, Naomi learned of the necessity to advocate against systemic and institutional abuse of power while working as her older sister's legal guardian. After clerking, she will pursue a career fighting the criminalization of mental illness, mass incarceration, and police excessive force. Naomi loves long road trips, cheering on her Minnesota sports teams, and playing fast-pitch softball.
