Event Details

Join the Bay Area Lawyer Chapter of the American Constitution Society for a panel discussion on Judge Brett Kavanaugh's nomination and a preview of his confirmation hearing, scheduled to begin September 4, 2018.

The conviction of President Donald Trump’s former campaign manager, and the guilty plea of his former lawyer that directly implicated the President in criminal activity, are among the President’s many legal troubles destined for the Supreme Court. What are Judge Kavanaugh’s views of executive power? Will the White House release his record on issues that are currently being actively hidden from the public? What does the rushed and opaque process mean for future nominations? What questions will Judge Kavanaugh face? And what would his confirmation mean for the fate of the President, the rule of law, and the Court itself?
