Event Details

Join the ACS Sacramento Lawyer Chapter on International Women’s Day for a discussion with Victoria Ortiz, former Dean of Students at UC Berkeley Law School, for a discussion on her new book, Dissenter on the Bench.

This book tells the story of Justice Ginsburg's life and career. Interspersed with the narrative are compelling accounts of landmark cases focused on human rights issues -- racial equality, gender equality for both women and men, same-sex marriage, student rights, privacy -- showing Justice Ginsburg, the U.S. legal system, and our Constitution at work. Offering more than a chronological overview, the book provides an in-depth portrayal of an iconic jurist on and off the bench.

Featuring:

Victoria Ortiz, Author, Dissenter on the Bench
