Join the ACS Houston Lawyer Chapter and Brazos Bookstore for a discussion with Professor César Cuauhtémoc García Hernández on his new book Migrating to Prison: America’s Obsession with Locking Up Immigrants.

In Migrating to Prison, César Cuauhtémoc García Hernández, the U.S.-born child of Mexican immigrants who was raised in the Texas border city of McAllen and is a frequent visitor to immigration prisons, takes a hard look at the immigration prison system’s origins, how it currently operates, why the system has evolved this way, and why we as a nation must change this practice.

Featuring:

César Cuauhtémoc García Hernández, Associate Professor of Law, University of Denver Sturm College of Law

There will be a wine and cheese reception beginning at 4:00, followed by the event at 4:30.
