Join the ACS Oregon Lawyer Chapter for a discussion with Professor Ganesh Sitaraman on his new book (co-authored with Anne Alstott), The Public Option: How to Expand Freedom, Increase Opportunity, and Promote Equality.
From public swimming pools to public schools, Americans have long used a public option – government provision of goods or services that coexist with the private marketplace – to expand opportunity while retaining the benefits of markets. In the book, Sitaraman and Alstott make the case for the public option across a variety of new areas, from broadband internet to childcare.
You can purchase a copy of the book here.
Featuring:
Ganesh Sitaraman, Chancellor Faculty Fellow, Professor of Law, ACS Faculty Advisor, and Director of the Program in Law and Government, Vanderbilt Law School; Member, ACS National Board of Directors and Board of Academic Advisors
