Event Details

Texas is ripe with legal issues regarding diversity and inclusion. This session, a number of voting measures that strike at the heart of inclusion and the right to vote have been pushed through the legislature. At law firms, the Diversity Report Card project has been keeping data on where firms stand on diversity and where they need to be. And lastly, the state bar is currently confronted with a lawsuit regarding hostility towards a portion of bar dues supporting diversity efforts.

Join the ACS Austin Lawyer Chapter for an engaging panel discussion on these issues, and a chance to weigh in and meet those work towards diversity in the legal profession.

Featuring:

Amanda Gnaedinger, Southwest Organizer, Common Cause; Member, ACS Austin Lawyer Chapter Board of Directors
The Honorable Rudy Metayer, Councilmember, City of Pflugerville, TX; Attorney, Chamberlain McHaney
Betsy Peticolas, Air Attorney, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality; former President, Hispanic Bar Association of Austin

A reception with refreshments and appetizers will accompany the panel.

Thank you to DLA Piper for generously hosting this event.
