Join the ACS New York Lawyer Chapter and the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) for a discussion with Eric Manheimer on his book, Twelve Patients: Life and Death at Bellevue Hospital. In sharing the stories of 12 former patients of Bellevue Hospital, Manheimer illustrates the larger societal issues at the intersection of health, culture, policy, and law. Manheimer also co-produces New Amsterdam, the hit NBC drama based on Twelve Patients.
This event will also serve as the launch of the Chapter's book club, with Twelve Patients as the first read. Attendees are invited to obtain and read a copy before attending.
Featuring:
Eric Manheimer, former Medical Director, Bellevue Hospital; Clinical Professor, NYU School of Medicine
Moderated by:
Randye Retkin, Founder and Director, LegalHealth
Food and refreshments will be provided by ACS and NYLAG.
