Event Details

Join the ACS Bay Area Lawyer Chapter for the next installment in its Fireside Chat series, a set of laid-back conversations on timely and relevant updates in the progressive legal space.

What keeps structural sexism in place today? How can we dismantle the patriarchy in the #MeToo world? Noreen Farrell and Jahan Sagafi will touch on their work advocating for women and girls fighting discrimination, harassment, and sexual assault. In conversation with the audience, they will also explore relevant legal regimes, unconscious biases, outdated gender norms, tension between hate speech and free speech, how to REALLY be a good ally, and more. We hope that you will join us as we explore where we are, how we got here, and how to dismantle the patriarchy together.

Featuring:

Noreen Farrell, Executive Director, Equal Rights Advocates
Jahan Sagafi, Partner, Outten & Golden LLP; Member, ACS Bay Area Lawyer Chapter Board of Advisors
