Event Details

This spring, the ACS Bay Area Lawyer Chapter will be volunteering at local schools from April 22 to May 3, 2019, as part of the Constitution in the Classroom (CITC) program. Please consider joining us for an hour or two to discuss the U.S. Constitution with students. First time volunteers should join us for one of the brief training sessions that will be held in San Francisco and San Jose. Returning volunteers are always welcome to teach, do not need to attend another training session, and will receive an email in mid-April about specific opportunities.

What is CITC?

CITC brings ACS members into primary and secondary classrooms to raise awareness of fundamental constitutional principles. By spending as little as one hour teaching in a local classroom, you can excite young minds about their constitutional rights and responsibilities. For additional information on this volunteer opportunity, please click here.

Who can get involved with CITC?

We strongly encourage all lawyers and law students to volunteer with ACS in our CITC program to teach local school kids about the importance of the Constitution.

Participants may attend by phone. Please RSVP and we will email you with dial-in information as April 4 approaches.
